Design Projects

As part of an intensive 8-week UX Design course at BrainStation, I learned the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and user testing. Each week, we applied newly learned concepts to a capstone project of our choice.
My partner and I decided to create a volunteer and organization matching app to address the common challenges faced by both groups in finding meaningful connections. As an active volunteer myself, I felt personally connected to the problem space and was eager to translate that empathy into thoughtful design decisions.

For my final project in the Information Architecture course at Northwestern University, I designed a mobile app to enhance the live music festival experience. Building on foundational skills from my BrainStation UX training, I applied advanced design methods such as user interviews, usability testing, and iterative prototyping. The result was a concert app with intuitive navigation, real-time scheduling, and personalized features—developed through both low- and high-fidelity prototypes to address user needs in dynamic, high-energy environments.

As part of a group project for a Prototyping and Implementation course, we developed ThermoEye, a smart meat thermometer system integrated with a mobile app and smartwatch. Designed for novice cooks, the app provides real-time updates, recipe suggestions, and step-by-step cooking guidance to ensure perfectly cooked meat every time.
